Trusting God’s Timing in Missions

Mission work is full of unknowns. Plans change. Doors open and close. Sometimes, things move slower than we expected. But one thing remains true—God’s timing is always perfect.

If you’ve ever felt discouraged because things aren’t happening as fast as you hoped, you’re not alone. Many missionaries have faced delays in support raising, visa approvals, or ministry opportunities. Yet, over and over, God proves that He is in control.

In the Bible, we see this truth in action. Abraham waited years for God’s promise of a son. Joseph endured trials before stepping into leadership. Paul’s missionary journeys were often redirected by the Holy Spirit. None of these delays were accidents. They were all part of God’s greater plan.

So, if you’re waiting right now—whether for funding, open doors, or clear direction—take heart. God is still at work. Use this season to deepen your faith, grow in wisdom, and prepare for what’s ahead. In His perfect time, He will bring everything together for His glory.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” – Psalm 27:14
